RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
Nirsevimab (Beyfortus) is a monoclonal antibody shot to present severe illness with respiratory syncitial virus (RSV).
Given to infants from birth to under 8 months of age just before or during the local RSV season (October to March in NJ).
Given to children aged 8-19 months if they are considered high risk (e.g., premature infants with chronic lung disease, severely immunocompromised children, American Indian and Alaska Native children).
Pregnant women are recommended to receive an RSV vaccine between 32 and 36 weeks gestation.

Birth-6 months
Given from birth to 7 months during RSV season (October through March)
